Hi! I’m Jeanette!

I grew up in Minnesota in a big Norwegian family, the youngest of 5 kids. Like many in my generation, I was given a mainstream foundation of answers and general certainty of how life and reality work, a product of a Western materialistic worldview.

I worked in the psychology field for nearly 2 decades as a psychotherapist, specializing in trauma and working with victims of crime. While I still hold my license, I prioritize my inner alignment and intuition and encourage those who I work with to do the same. I do best when I am free, and I bet you do too.

I don’t resonate with hierarchy and power structures in mental health, science, academia, or anywhere, really. There is a best-to-worst order when it comes to Skittles flavors and pizza elements, but for most parts of life, we are all pretty essential, capable, powerful, and valuable. Cultivating this reality in our own lives feels like a big part of what we are here to do.

This universe is expanding, intelligent, and beyond my grasp or understanding, and I still want to engage with it, collaborate with it, and be an active custodian of beauty, goodness, and truth within it. I prefer that all of this is pursued with joy, playfulness, and love. Why not, right?!
